About the Role
The Custodian at Fit Fusion is entrusted with ensuring the facility remains spotless, secure, and inviting for members, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning and disinfecting tasks across the gym, covering all equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and shared spaces.
- Keep the club's exterior areas clean and presentable.
- Manage the stock levels of cleaning materials, toiletries, and other essentials used in the facility.
- Complete any detailed cleaning checklists assigned by management on a daily basis.
- Support member and guest services when needed.
- Maintain a courteous and approachable demeanor towards all staff, members, and visitors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is favored.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively each day.
- Must obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of starting employment.
Physical Demands
- Capability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Expect prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, crouching, and reaching needed to fulfill cleaning duties in various facility spaces.
Reporting
This role reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
