Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Financial Controller in overseeing credit card disputes across various payment platforms.
  • Perform detailed investigations on issues related to credit card disputes, chargebacks, and fraud to aid in recovering funds.
  • Compile, evaluate, and submit documentation and files related to disputes in compliance with card scheme policies and company standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of the entire dispute process including chargeback management, representment, and arbitration phases.
  • Handle escalation of disputes and ensure timely, clear communication with all relevant internal and external parties.
  • Analyze transaction data and accompanying documents to strengthen dispute cases and optimize recovery results.
  • Evaluate arbitration cases involving chargebacks and deliver recommendations consistent with card schemes guidelines.
  • Address inquiries from customers and stakeholders regarding chargeback and arbitration matters professionally and clearly.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable team by reviewing and approving refund requests.
  • Execute other responsibilities and special projects as directed by the Assistant Financial Controller.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or related discipline is preferred.
  • Between three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in dispute management, chargebacks, or payments industry is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, proactive nature, and capacity to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of card scheme regulations and dispute management platforms is an advantage.
