Internship Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in extracting and managing web data using Python and related tools. You will work remotely with flexible hours over a period of three months, assisting in automating data collection and processing tasks to support our study abroad consultancy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select websites and platforms suitable for web data extraction.
- Develop Python scripts leveraging libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, and Playwright for scraping purposes.
- Collect structured and unstructured data from both static and dynamic web pages.
- Process, cleanse, and organize data into formats including CSV, Excel, JSON, and Google Sheets.
- Implement scheduled automation using workflows and cron jobs for consistent data scraping.
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets, including MongoDB, MySQL, and cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor scraper performance, ensure accuracy, and update scripts to adapt to website changes.
- Adhere to ethical web scraping guidelines by respecting robots.txt and website policies.

Skills and Expertise
- Proficient in Python with experience using requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Selenium.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Document Object Model (DOM) structures.
- Familiarity with data formats like JSON and CSV, and API interactions.
- Experience with data storage tools including Google Sheets, MongoDB, and MySQL.
- Basic understanding of version control systems like Git and GitHub.
- Ability to debug, optimize, and document code clearly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of web scraping challenges such as proxy rotation, CAPTCHA handling, and headless browsers.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform and automation tools.
- Experience with tools such as Postman, Playwright, or Puppeteer.
- Basic insight into data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Google Data Studio.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly stipend ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹1,17,000, combining fixed and performance-based incentives.
- Certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation upon successful internship completion.
- Possibility of a full-time job offer with an annual salary between ₹2,00,000 and ₹40,00,000 after conversion.
- Flexible work schedule - five working days per week, with the option to take any two weekdays off and availability required during weekends to sync with global time zones.
