Internship Overview

This internship offers hands-on experience in extracting and managing web data using Python and related tools. You will work remotely with flexible hours over a period of three months, assisting in automating data collection and processing tasks to support our study abroad consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and select websites and platforms suitable for web data extraction.
Develop Python scripts leveraging libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, and Playwright for scraping purposes.
Collect structured and unstructured data from both static and dynamic web pages.
Process, cleanse, and organize data into formats including CSV, Excel, JSON, and Google Sheets.
Implement scheduled automation using workflows and cron jobs for consistent data scraping.
Maintain databases and spreadsheets, including MongoDB, MySQL, and cloud-based solutions.
Monitor scraper performance, ensure accuracy, and update scripts to adapt to website changes.
Adhere to ethical web scraping guidelines by respecting robots.txt and website policies.

Applicant Eligibility

Must be available to work remotely for the entire 3-month duration.
Should be able to start between August 1 and September 5, 2026.
Candidates with relevant technical skills and keen interest in data scraping and management.
Open to freshers, computer science engineering students, and women re-entering the workforce.

Skills and Expertise

Proficient in Python with experience using requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Selenium.
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Document Object Model (DOM) structures.
Familiarity with data formats like JSON and CSV, and API interactions.
Experience with data storage tools including Google Sheets, MongoDB, and MySQL.
Basic understanding of version control systems like Git and GitHub.
Ability to debug, optimize, and document code clearly and efficiently.
Knowledge of web scraping challenges such as proxy rotation, CAPTCHA handling, and headless browsers.
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform and automation tools.
Experience with tools such as Postman, Playwright, or Puppeteer.
Basic insight into data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Google Data Studio.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly stipend ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹1,17,000, combining fixed and performance-based incentives.
Certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation upon successful internship completion.
Possibility of a full-time job offer with an annual salary between ₹2,00,000 and ₹40,00,000 after conversion.
Flexible work schedule - five working days per week, with the option to take any two weekdays off and availability required during weekends to sync with global time zones.
