About Moniepoint
Moniepoint stands as Africa’s most rapidly expanding fintech company in 2024, serving over 10 million users and processing high transaction volumes every month. The organization is committed to fostering financial wellbeing across the continent and has built a culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, and personal advancement.
Role Overview
This role centers on spearheading all procurement initiatives related to Moniepoint’s nationwide branch roll-out, including real estate acquisition, vendor management, contract negotiations, and logistical coordination. You will oversee the efficient setup of physical offices and customer experience centers in major cities across Nigeria. As a pivotal member of the Third Party Management & Procurement department, you will transform property and supply needs into cost-effective, risk-mitigated, and timely project outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of commercial properties tailored to Moniepoint’s operational needs nationwide.
- Lead commercial lease negotiations, securing favorable rates, flexible clauses, and fit-out periods.
- Oversee due diligence processes for all acquisitions in collaboration with Legal and certified surveyors.
- Formulate and manage a centralized procurement approach for multi-site branch infrastructure, developing a pool of pre-vetted vendors across construction and technical specialties.
- Standardize supply agreements and maintain efficient supply chains for branded installations and security assets.
- Build partnerships with suppliers to mitigate procurement risks, especially for import-dependent items.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—architects, surveyors, facilities managers—to assess designs, cost controls, and project feasibility.
- Manage sourcing and tendering for high-security and mission-critical mechanical, electrical, and facility components.
- Administer end-to-end Invitations to Tender, RFP processes, and negotiate performance bonds, APGs, and contract compliance.
- Oversee logistics for furniture, equipment, and operational assets, managing seamless branch and facility handovers.
Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years’ progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or project management, especially in capital projects, real estate, or branch expansion.
- Expertise in commercial property sourcing, lease negotiation, and handling retrofitting/remodeling projects.
- Background in banking/fintech branch rollouts or within major Nigerian construction/project management firms.
- Strong grasp of regional and logistical dynamics in Nigeria’s various markets.
- Educational background in Procurement, Estate/Facilities Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields is an advantage.
- Professional affiliations with CIPS, CIPSMN, or NIESV are highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Thorough understanding of Nigeria’s commercial property market, lease laws, and property assessment techniques.
- Proficiency in analyzing BOQs and managing costs across civil, architectural, and MEP works.
- Knowledge of contract frameworks for construction and lease agreements with an eye for risk management clauses.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and e-procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project management tools.
- Advanced negotiation skills with an ability to balance cost, quality, and brand requirements.
- Ability to interface effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Agility and resilience in fast-paced, scaling environments.
Performance Expectations
- Ensure all branch and office rollouts adhere to cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
- Establish robust cross-functional partnerships ensuring delivery on operational and brand standards.
- Secure legal and financially sound leases with minimal risk exposure for the company.
- Build a vendor matrix that reduces supply chain vulnerabilities.
Benefits
- Attractive compensation structure and employee benefits.
- Fully remote work environment to promote flexibility.
- Ample opportunities for ongoing professional development and career advancement.
