Introduction
The Emirates National Schools (ENS) in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced and forward-thinking E-Learning Coordinator for Grades 6 to 12 to spearhead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of digital learning programs. This leadership role fits professionals with expertise in educational technology, instructional design, ICT teaching, or curriculum leadership, passionate about advancing educational practices through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and manage the rollout and execution of e-learning initiatives for grades 6 through 12.
- Ensure all digital learning programs align with ENS curriculum standards, including American frameworks like Common Core, NGSS, IB curriculum, and UAE National Curriculum mandates.
- Assist curriculum review and enhancement by incorporating innovative technology solutions.
- Collaborate with curriculum leaders, campus administrators, and IB coordinators to boost instructional outcomes.
- Advocate for best methods in online, blended, and tech-enriched learning settings.
- Mentor teachers to adopt effective e-learning instructional techniques and integrate digital tools.
- Model and develop engaging digital learning content with current educational technologies.
- Support staff in navigating learning management systems, digital assessments, virtual platforms, and multimedia resources including podcasts and virtual field trips.
- Maintain consistent, high-quality e-learning delivery throughout departments and grade levels.
- Design, implement, and assess professional development focused on educational technology and digital teaching strategies.
- Provide continuous training on new e-learning trends, innovative assessment methods, and instructional strategies.
- Encourage ongoing professional growth in tech integration and digital pedagogy among faculty.
- Lead creation and deployment of standards-based digital assessments, analyze student data for instructional improvements, and coordinate subject-specific data review meetings aimed at academic enhancement.
- Evaluate e-learning program effectiveness and suggest improvements from outcome assessments.
- Assist with accreditation and quality assurance activities including compliance with education standards, supporting inspections and accreditation visits.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in ICT, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree preferred, especially in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Educational Research, or Instruction, which may substitute for related undergraduate specialization.
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience in subjects such as ICT/Computer Science, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science (NGSS), Arabic Language, UAE Social Studies, or Islamic Studies.
- Proven background in implementing e-learning and tech-enhanced teaching.
- Experience coaching, supervising, and evaluating educators.
- Track record in leading education change and school improvement programs.
- Developing and delivering professional development in educational technology.
- Competent in data-driven instructional decision making and assessment systems.
- Knowledge of strategic planning and evaluating educational programs.
Technical Skills
- Expertise with educational technology platforms and digital learning tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suites, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and online collaboration tools.
- Capability to develop and demonstrate effective digital learning content.
- Willingness to acquire ICDL and Microsoft 365 certifications if necessary.
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), UAE National Curriculum, and International Baccalaureate programs (PYP, MYP, DP).
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and accreditation processes such as ADEK, KHDA, MOE, Cognia (AdvancED), IB Organization, and ECIS.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication.
