Job Overview and Responsibilities

  • Support the IT Manager with daily IT operational tasks and service management.
  • Oversee and assist IT personnel across help desk, systems, network, and technical support functions.
  • Ensure smooth operation and upkeep of servers, networks, computers, software, and other technological infrastructure.
  • Maintain high availability, reliability, and performance standards for IT systems and applications.
  • Deliver technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues effectively.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, email services, and security-related controls.
  • Contribute to enforcing and maintaining cybersecurity frameworks including policies and controls.
  • Supervise system backups and disaster recovery plans to secure business continuity.
  • Participate in IT projects, upgrades, new software launches, and technology rollouts.
  • Collaborate with external IT suppliers, service providers, and technology partners.
  • Keep comprehensive records of IT documentation, asset inventories, configuration settings, and process outlines.
  • Track IT system performance, detect recurring issues, and advise on enhancements.
  • Assist in budgeting, procurement, license management, and strategic IT resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide employee coaching on IT systems, application usage, cybersecurity measures, and industry best practices.
  • Draft reports and generate performance statistics for the IT Manager and upper management.
  • Play an active part in developing and applying IT policies, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Offer rapid technical support during emergencies, network outages, and critical incidents.
  • Complete additional IT assignments as delegated by the IT Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
  • Between three and five years of relevant experience, ideally including supervisory or management roles.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking, server administration, operating systems, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, cloud technologies, and IT service management practices is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Competence in IT security fundamentals and data protection methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational talents, and leadership capabilities.

Additional Information

Having experience beyond stated requirements will be beneficial. Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of extra languages is viewed positively.
