Overview
This role involves leading Agile transformation efforts and program management for the Cat Digital DevOps team within a large enterprise manufacturing organization. The Agile Coach will support global engineering teams to adopt Agile, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance business value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Agile ceremonies such as Scrum and Kanban across multiple worldwide engineering teams.
- Coach both teams and leadership on Agile, Lean principles, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Promote self-organization, accountability, and superior delivery standards.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize backlog tasks and enhance value creation.
- Identify and address obstacles that impede project delivery.
- Drive data-informed continuous improvement initiatives through Agile metrics.
- Support higher-level Agile planning and execution at the portfolio level.
- Encourage teamwork and cooperation among cross-functional and global teams, including Cloud, DevOps, Security, Identity, and Risk groups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years or Master’s degree with over 8 years of experience in relevant fields.
- At least 10 years of project or program management experience within Agile environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban frameworks, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and implementing Lean-Agile approaches.
- Experience leading global, cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Strong skills in communication, facilitation, mentorship, and problem resolution.
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Expertise in Agile coaching and delivery.
- Experience managing programs within DevOps and Cloud infrastructure contexts.
- Proficiency with Agile metrics, reporting mechanisms, and driving continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional team settings.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Background working with large manufacturing, engineering, or industrial corporations.
- Previous engagement with major companies such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Boeing, GM, Ford, Tesla, Cummins, Honeywell, GE, or Raytheon is advantageous.

Candidate Profile
- Recent experience with billion-dollar manufacturing or engineering-focused companies, ideally Caterpillar or similar organizations.
- Born between 1960 and 1988 to align with experience requirements.
- Consistent employment history without frequent changes.
- Prepared to relocate at own cost if not currently local to the office locations (Peoria, IL / Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX).
