About the Role
We are collaborating with a reputable financial services firm located in New York City to recruit an Administrative Manager tasked with leading and developing a substantial administrative team. This position suits an operational leader passionate about cultivating high-performing teams, maintaining consistency, and delivering excellent support to senior leadership. The individual will manage a team of approximately 40 administrative staff and act as a vital intermediary among executives, employees, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly lead, supervise, mentor, and develop a sizable team of about 40 administrative professionals.
- Conduct consistent performance appraisals, provide coaching, and facilitate career growth discussions.
- Oversee staffing needs by managing scheduling, coverage, and resource distribution effectively.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts for new hires within the team.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to comprehend support requirements and ensure top-tier service delivery.
- Address employee relations issues, manage performance, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
- Create and implement administrative procedures, processes, and best practice standards.
- Monitor productivity metrics and identify avenues for continuous operational improvement.
- Maintain uniform standards and quality of service across the administrative division.
- Partner with HR and senior leadership on talent development initiatives and succession planning.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and cohesive team environment.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in managing administrative personnel within a corporate setting.
- Proven track record leading large teams, preferably exceeding 30 team members.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, coaching, and nurturing professional growth.
- Excellent organizational and operational management skills.
- Experienced in handling employee relations and performance issues.
- Ability to cultivate robust relationships across various organizational levels.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Background in professional services such as financial, legal, or consulting industries is advantageous.
- Proactive problem-solver who adapts well in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Annual salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000, dependent upon experience.
