Job description
Role Overview
Join as a Trainee Dispenser at one of our stores, becoming an essential part of the pharmacy team providing crucial support to pharmacists and healthcare staff to enable the safe and efficient provision of pharmacy and health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
- Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and managing prescription collection.
- Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to manage pharmacy services delivery.
- Offer medicine-related advice and care to patients, escalating complex queries to the Pharmacist.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate and lawful dispensing practices.
- Stay informed of new in-store advancements and adhere to operational procedures.
- Assist patients in effectively managing their prescriptions and medications to improve adherence and minimize waste.
Technology and Development
Work with evolving in-store systems designed to modernize dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and allowing more patient interaction time. Continual training and updates will support your growth in healthcare knowledge and open pathways to roles such as Pharmacy Technician or store leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Commitment to completing the NVQ2 Dispenser training.
- Verified legal right to work in the UK; this role is not open to Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
