Role Overview
This temporary, part-time position as a Social Media Coordinator within the Brand Marketing team involves managing social media scheduling and drafting alongside operational support functions. The role alleviates workload from the Social Media & Content Manager and includes broader marketing assistance such as film festival administration, studio/client outreach, and brand marketing operations. The Coordinator reports to the Brand Marketing Director and collaborates daily with the Social Media & Content Manager. Candidates should possess at least one prior professional role and be able to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, schedule, and coordinate social media posts across platforms using Sprout Social, including asset management and tagging, subject to manager approval
- Download, edit, and organize filmmaker assets into libraries following tagging and naming standards
- Send post approval links to filmmakers and manage edits before posting
- Help build the monthly content calendar incorporating upcoming releases, campaigns, awards, and key dates
- Assist with handling social media direct messages as directed
- Coordinate outreach to studios and clients following introductions by the Social Media & Content Manager
- Log and track all communications and follow-ups internally to ensure content deadlines are met
- Manage outreach and coordination for US short-form projects including creative and copy administration
- Oversee YouTube channel uploads, titles, tagging, and Shorts as directed
- Maintain and track film festival databases including key dates, communications, and deliverables
- Respond to festival inquiries, schedule intake meetings, and manage renewals
- Coordinate branded deliverables, contract processes, and festival communications
- Collect grant documentation and assist with recipient follow-ups
- Arrange badge/pass distribution in cooperation with the events coordinator
- Maintain influencer relationship data including contacts and notes
- Perform data entry and management in Airtable and Sprout Social related to awards, festival data, and campaigns
- Support the brand marketing team administratively as needed
- Assist PR, Editorial, and Creative teams with coordination tasks
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent written communication adaptable to multiple brand voices
- At least 12–24 months professional experience in communications, social media, marketing, or similar fields
- Proven ability to manage social media workflows and platforms
- Familiarity with Sprout Social or similar scheduling tools
- Comfort with Airtable or comparable project management and data tracking software
- Experience using digital asset management platforms such as Brandfolder
- Strong organizational skills with capability to independently juggle multiple deadlines
- Ability to work remotely and communicate asynchronously across time zones
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Experience managing YouTube channels is advantageous
- Background or familiarity with entertainment, film, or media industries preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role functions within a professional office setting. Key physical activities include talking, hearing, standing, walking, hand use, and reaching. Lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
Hours and Location
This part-time, temporary role requires 25 hours weekly. While remote work is standard, candidates based in California must comply with a hybrid schedule. Candidates residing in CA, TX, NM, IL, LA, GA, NY, NV are eligible to apply.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $20 to $25.
