Job Overview
Join WSP Middle East in Riyadh as a Senior Transport Planner, where you will lead transport strategy planning and design for large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on landmark initiatives, harness a global network, and contribute to sustainable, integrated mobility solutions that align with project goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive transport planning studies including traffic impact assessments, mobility strategy development, and master planning contributions.
- Create and evaluate transport models, forecast demand, and devise multi-modal transportation options.
- Provide strategic recommendations to master plans ensuring consistency with land use, infrastructure provisions, and phased development.
- Collaborate closely with urban planners, highway teams, infrastructure, and design specialists to achieve cohesive transport solutions.
- Oversee design consultants and scrutinize deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Engage with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and authorities to obtain necessary approvals and harmonize transport strategies.
- Assist project teams in addressing and solving complex transport-related issues during design and execution phases.
- Ensure all practices uphold sustainability, safety, and accessibility principles.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Bring over 15 years of expertise in transport planning within contexts of major development projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using transport modelling software and conducting traffic impact analyses.
- Experienced in leading coordination among diverse disciplines and actively engaging with multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of regional and international transportation standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Professional accreditation or chartership is considered advantageous.
