Safety & Security Officer

About the Role

The Safety & Security Officer is tasked with identifying potential security threats, enforcing the organization's safety policies, and collaborating with local emergency response teams. This position serves as the frontline defense against accidents, unauthorized entry, and security breaches, ensuring a secure and hazard-free environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee surveillance systems, alarm operations, and control access to property entrances.
• Perform regular patrols around the premises to detect hazards or security violations.
• Implement safety policies and regulations, including fire safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• React promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, accidents, or security threats and document incidents thoroughly.
• Provide training to employees on fundamental safety processes and emergency evacuation procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated professional experience as a Safety Officer, Security Guard, or in similar safety/security roles.
• Certification or licenses relevant to security or safety, such as OSHA or NEBOSH qualifications.
• Strong observational aptitude and capability to maintain composure during stressful or high-pressure events.
• Excellent verbal communication and skills in resolving conflicts effectively.
