About the Role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a Housekeeping Porter to join their clinical support team. This full-time role is based on-site at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and is committed to supporting the hospital's mission, values, and management philosophy by delivering various cleaning services across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide array of cleaning duties throughout the hospital campus.
Adhere strictly to Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines.
Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

Completion of Grade 10 education.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills enabling positive interactions.
Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
Trustworthy with confidential information.

Physical Requirements

Ability to continuously walk, stand, bend, lift, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds (approximately 23 kilograms).
Ability to push, pull heavy weights and use equipment such as ladders, skyjack, or scissor lifts.

Additional Information

Working hours: Approximately 7.75 hours per day; annual base hours total 2015.
Shift: Evening shift anticipated.
Salary range: $21.823 to $24.491 per hour, depending on experience.
Union affiliation: CUPE.
