Job description

About the Role

Join Jovie as a part-time backup nanny, supporting multiple families with flexible work hours tailored around your availability. This position allows you to care for infants and toddlers in their homes without transport responsibilities or extensive household duties beyond tidying your activity areas.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive in-home child care, focusing on safety and engaging age-appropriate educational activities based on your observations of the child's development stage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment related to your childcare activities.
  • Cater to children ranging from infants to toddlers, with a particular demand for care of children under two years old.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Earn between $20 to $22 hourly for your services.
  • Receive paid training and a curated nanny kit that includes age-appropriate games and materials to enhance your childcare sessions.
  • Access opportunities to grow professionally in childcare and gain priority for positions with families seeking long-term, consistent care providers either full or part-time.
  • Benefit from paid sick leave applicable to all schedules, and for full-time work, additional perks such as medical stipends, paid vacations, holidays, student loan repayment matching, or retirement savings matching funds.
  • Opportunities for mileage reimbursement, performance bonuses, and participation in contests and social events designed to foster community and support.
  • Gain legal employment status as a W-2 employee including unemployment insurance and resume-building work experience.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Prior experience working with children is essential, including infants.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to different family homes within the service area.
  • Availability to work any three or more weekdays in 6 to 8 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  • Strong communication skills and responsiveness toward the staffing supervisor, alongside a positive and cheerful attitude when interacting with families.
