About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the meat department to ensure it is always customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove any expired or damaged products to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all products are accurately priced, signed, and labeled following established procedures including ordering, clearance, markups, and markdowns.
• Comply with food safety protocols and cold chain practices, such as temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, appropriate handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli items including meat, cheese, and fried chicken by safely operating equipment such as slicers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to fulfill customer orders and replenish display cases.
• Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations and company policies to sustain a hygienic and secure workplace.
• Be flexible with work schedules by accepting various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support consistent store operations and customer service quality.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Handle high volumes of tasks within a fast-paced setting efficiently and accurately.
• Manage overnight shifts by planning accordingly to maintain energy and focus.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Engage in repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing with attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
