Role Overview
We seek an experienced Java Developer to join a prominent digital transformation project based in Fujairah, UAE. This is a long-term position designed for a proficient specialist skilled in enterprise Java development, contemporary frameworks, and microservices architecture. The role involves architecting, developing, and sustaining scalable enterprise software, while working collaboratively with varied teams to deliver secure, top-tier software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications to meet business needs.
- Create and improve RESTful APIs and integrate applications with third-party platforms.
- Utilize Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA to build scalable solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into software features.
- Identify and resolve application bugs, improve performance and reliability.
- Adhere strictly to coding standards, apply security best practices, and follow robust software development methodologies.
- Engage in application upgrades, maintenance tasks, and provide production support as needed.
- Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related domain is required.
- 6 to 7 years of substantial hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Expertise with Java core technologies, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services development.
- Proficient in relational database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and build/deployment tools such as Maven and Jenkins, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities supported by analytical thinking and effective troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills enabling efficient teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience in enterprise-scale or government-related digital transformation initiatives is advantageous.
