Role overview

This position supports day-to-day site operations through a mix of housekeeping, meal service, food prep, and kitchen cleanup duties. The role is hands-on and helps keep resident areas, dining spaces, and food service operations running smoothly.

Key duties

• Keep resident rooms and shared spaces tidy and sanitary through regular housekeeping.
• Help with meal service tasks, including preparing food, arranging and clearing chairs and tables, delivering trays, serving meals, and washing dishes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness while carrying out assigned support tasks.
• Follow workplace health and safety rules at all times.
• Immediately report injuries, hazards, and other safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks requested by management.

Candidate profile

• A valid Food Handler Certificate, or an accepted provincial equivalent, is required.
• Prior experience in housekeeping and food service is considered an advantage.
• Experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment is preferred.
• The ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team is important.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, along with the ability to understand and follow instructions, are needed.
