About the Role
Join GardaWorld as a University Campus Security Guard based in The Pas, Manitoba. This permanent role focuses on safeguarding an educational environment with a strong emphasis on customer service and community engagement. The position operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3 PM to 11 PM, providing a competitive hourly wage. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, verify their identity, and offer assistance.
- Control access to the campus, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular patrols to detect potential security risks.
- Inspect and report the condition of security equipment requiring maintenance.
- Respond promptly to incidents, administer first aid as needed, and coordinate with emergency responders.
- Act as a visible deterrent to criminal activities by maintaining a strong security presence.
- Prepare daily and incident reports and send them via email to relevant authorities.
- Manage emergencies such as fires, medical issues, or security breaches efficiently.
- Serve as the main liaison with law enforcement and emergency services.
- Ensure all doors are secured and check for tampering or forced entry attempts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Possession of a valid Manitoba security license is mandatory.
- Availability for morning shifts and weekends is required.
- First aid certification is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Basic proficiency in telephone and computer usage.
