Treasury Product Owner

About the Role

ASB Bank seeks a Treasury Product Owner based in Auckland to lead the definition and execution of critical Treasury data products, services, and system enhancements. The role focuses on delivering results aligned with Treasury goals such as capital management, liquidity, and compliance with single depositor view DTA regulatory requirements.

You will create and maintain a comprehensive roadmap, drive prioritization of tasks, oversee delivery flow, and ensure stakeholder alignment and confidence in decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

The Treasury Product Owner will define and manage the product roadmap for Treasury data solutions, collaborating closely with product management, design, engineering, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders. You will maintain a prioritized backlog, enhance delivery maturity, and support evidence-based discovery and delivery decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in product ownership, change leadership, or delivery management, preferably in Treasury, financial services, regulatory compliance, data, or risk fields. Strong skills in stakeholder management, balancing priorities, commercial judgement, and pragmatic decision making are essential.

• Deep experience with product ownership including roadmap creation and backlog stewardship
• Track record of managing change in regulated, complex environments
• Understanding of risk management, controls, compliance, and delivery governance
• Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders for prioritization decisions
• Expertise in driving discovery activities, hypothesis testing, and decisions grounded in data and evidence
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
• Cross-team collaboration skills to resolve obstacles and maintain steady delivery progress
• Experience enhancing delivery health, continuous process improvement, and building team capabilities
• Beneficial experience includes Treasury, data products, capital and liquidity management, or regulatory change
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a human-centered mindset for product and service management
