About the Role

West Cirque Construction, a prominent residential and commercial general contractor, is on the lookout for an experienced Skilled Labourer to join a multifamily construction project in the Saskatoon area. Key Responsibilities

Comply with building codes and corporate safety policies across all sites
Execute carpentry tasks not assigned to subcontractors
Oversee and evaluate subcontractor performance on site
Conduct touch-ups and fix deficiencies left by subcontractors
Perform frame and mechanical inspections
Carry out finish carpentry duties
Manage quality inspections and prepare status reports
Immediately communicate any site issues to the superintendent
Utilize power tools proficiently, including air nailers, skill saws, and screw guns
Mentor less experienced workers
Fulfill any other duties as directed by the site foreman or superintendent

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in finish carpentry is advantageous
Familiarity with equipment operation such as zoom boom or skid steer is an asset
Strong understanding of relevant building codes and safety standards
Organized, communicative with excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships on site
Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and achieving results
Attention to detail with a strong grasp of quality benchmarks
Ability to work productively within a diverse, multifunctional team environment
Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
