Shunter Driver - Night Shift

About the Role and Company

Join the Wolseley Group, a foremost specialist trade merchant in the UK and Ireland that prioritises its employees and customers. This permanent, full-time position is based in Measham and requires working night shifts of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday between 6 PM and 2 AM.

Job Responsibilities

• Connect and disconnect trailers safely and efficiently.
• Manage the parking of trailers and class 2 vehicles within the yard.
• Report any vehicle defects identified during the night to the breakdown team promptly.
• Move trailers and class 2 vehicles to and from loading areas.
• Support the loading team by accurately positioning loads on trailer beds.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of vehicle beds prior to loading.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven prior experience in a similar shunter driving role is mandatory.
• Strong dedication to work and pride in job performance.
• Flexibility to assist warehouse and transport teams as necessary.
