Senior Accountant

Role overview

This is a full-time Senior Accountant position based in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting operations, accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for audit and planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle general ledger work and support the month-end close process.
• Draft financial statements and prepare reports for management review.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate, reliable financial data.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
• Maintain adherence to IFRS, internal controls, and internal company procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide assistance during statutory audits.
• Track and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow movements.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• Professional credentials such as ACCA or CA will be considered an added advantage.
• Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of solid experience in a Senior Accountant role.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards is essential.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and problem-solving capability are important.
• Candidates must already be in Qatar and, where applicable, hold a transferable residency.
