Role overview
This is a full-time Senior Accountant position based in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting operations, accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for audit and planning activities.
Key responsibilities
- Handle general ledger work and support the month-end close process.
- Draft financial statements and prepare reports for management review.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate, reliable financial data.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
- Maintain adherence to IFRS, internal controls, and internal company procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide assistance during statutory audits.
- Track and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow movements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
- Professional credentials such as ACCA or CA will be considered an added advantage.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of solid experience in a Senior Accountant role.
- Good working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards is essential.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and problem-solving capability are important.
- Candidates must already be in Qatar and, where applicable, hold a transferable residency.
