School Bus Driver

About the Role

Tranzit Group, a longstanding and respected transport company in New Zealand, is seeking responsible and community-focused school bus drivers to join their Taranaki team. This role involves driving school buses and supporting regional charter work within New Plymouth and neighboring areas including Stratford and Inglewood.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating school bus routes safely and reliably in the New Plymouth area, including morning and afternoon school runs.
• Providing excellent communication and friendly interaction with students and community members.
• Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines and company policies while performing duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a positive attitude with strong communication skills and enjoyment in engaging with people.
• Have a team-oriented mindset with a strong emphasis on health and safety.
• Hold a clean driving record with a valid full car licence for a minimum of two years.
• Be in possession of a Class 2 or Class 4 driver's licence.
• Having a P Endorsement is desirable; the company offers assistance in obtaining this if needed.
• Be able to successfully complete a medical examination and police check.

Training and Support

Full training is provided to equip drivers with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Part-time position offering approximately 20 hours per week, typically during school term times, with morning and afternoon shifts Monday through Friday.

Additional Information
