Job Overview

We invite an enthusiastic and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor to become a key member of our Tender & Contracts team. The role's core responsibilities include tender preparation, cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and overseeing contract administration linked to civil engineering assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to clearly define the project scope, requirements, and assess related commercial risks.
Develop comprehensive cost estimates, cost planning documents, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Execute quantity take-offs covering civil works such as earthworks, drainage systems, roadworks, and utility infrastructure.
Participate in tender briefings, site inspections, and walkthroughs for ongoing tender processes.
Obtain, assess, and benchmark quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to support procurement decisions.
Prepare and dispatch tender enquiry packages to subcontractors when applicable.
Perform price analyses and commercial evaluations to underpin tender decision-making.
Assist in negotiating contract clauses and terms with involved subcontractors and suppliers.
Compile tender submissions, including detailed pricing breakdowns and necessary clarifications.
Support analysis and evaluation of tenders and assist in drafting recommendation reports.
Contribute to tender interviews and presentations as required.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for audits and contract adherence.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders for activities in pre- and post-contract phases.
Ensure all contractual obligations meet compliance requirements, including those stipulated by Singaporean regulations.
Undertake other tasks delegated by the immediate superior or Head of Department.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Open to fresh graduates and candidates at the entry-level stage.
Fundamental understanding of construction techniques, materials, and civil engineering operations.
Knowledge of measurement principles and the preparation of Bills of Quantities.
Familiarity with common contract frameworks such as PSSCOC, SIA, or FIDIC is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PDF handling tools, and general office software.
Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with CostX or Cost TBQ software is a plus.
Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic construction industry environment.
Strong communication skills coupled with a constructive work ethic.
Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
