Role and Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer at Stackgini, you take full ownership of features end-to-end: understanding customer needs, collaborating with Product and Customer Success Managers to define scope, designing solutions, developing across the technology stack, delivering them to production, and maintaining them post-launch.

Recent work includes building multi-step approval workflows, benchmarking AI agent recommendations, and researching agentic IT tools.

You maintain close communication with users through customer meetings, usability tests, and support insights to tailor features effectively. Product Engineers determine feature direction and prioritize a healthy pipeline of ideas to ship quickly without sacrificing quality.

AI Integration

AI is embedded at the core but applied selectively to maximize value. Stackgini developed a proprietary large language model (LLM) infrastructure balancing model flexibility with enterprise governance and data residency compliance. You will work hands-on with cutting-edge AI technology, executing evaluations rigorously and ensuring reliable production deployment. Monitoring, diagnosing, and improving AI behavior is a fundamental part of the role.

Development Process

• Small specialized teams (2-3 engineers) focus on topics with continuous production deployment.
• Extensive use of AI tools with developer choice, supported by structured workflows: clear tickets, focused branches, AI-assisted code review, manual and automated product validations.
• Engineers fully own the features they ship, including production issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of full-stack software development experience delivering production-grade applications used by real users.
• Ability to quickly adapt to technology stacks including Kotlin/Spring Boot and Python on the backend, and TypeScript/React on the frontend.
• Experience building agentic systems, including relevant side projects, with a mindset focused on tool design, context awareness, and evaluation rather than mere prompt engineering.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous for direct customer interactions but not mandatory as support is available.
