Role Overview

Under the overall leadership of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Senior Outreach Associate, this role is aimed at supporting the Integration Project focused on Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) in Ireland. The Outreach Associate will engage primarily with BOTP residents in Designated Accommodation centers across Ireland by organizing and delivering orientation sessions, disseminating vital information, and providing individualized support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and oversight of project activities to assist BOTP individuals.
  • Collect, consolidate, analyze, and present data on various project-related topics.
  • Assist in formulating and implementing outreach and information dissemination strategies through targeted research and support.
  • Conduct information sessions for BOTP residents in designated accommodations, ensuring critical, accurate information is shared about life in Ireland.
  • Coordinate with focal points at accommodation centers to plan visits and sessions, maintaining liaison with internal units and external partners to manage administrative processes.
  • Distribute essential information accurately and identify vulnerable cases requiring referrals, providing translation and interpretation as needed.
  • Produce status updates, report on any gaps in the project delivery, and recommend corrective measures.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing materials, presentations, and maintain organized project documentation.
  • Handle complex information requests, maintain records, and assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and trainings.
  • Participate in relevant multi-stakeholder meetings, assisting coordination with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and partners.
  • Monitor the performance of implementing partners, reporting any non-compliance to supervisors.
  • Provide mentoring or training to newly onboarded or junior staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Either a school diploma with five years relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or similar, combined with at least three years relevant professional experience.
  • Prior experience in delivering information sessions to diverse large audiences.
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, trafficking victims, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher.
  • Experience working with international humanitarian organizations or in multicultural settings is advantageous.
  • Possession of a full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle is mandatory.

Language Requirement

Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Language abilities will be assessed in the selection process through written and/or oral evaluations.

Other Information

  • The position is contingent upon funding confirmation and subject to medical clearance, accreditation, residency, visa status, and security clearance.
  • This role requires a valid residence and work permit for Ireland; only candidates holding these will be considered.
  • The contract length may be adjusted to align with the validity period of the work permit.
