Land Surveyor

Role Overview

A major construction project in Qatar is looking to add a Land Surveyor to the team.

Qualification and Technical Profile

• A diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Applicants should understand core structural engineering principles.
• It is important to be able to interpret shop drawings and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of construction materials such as steel, aluminum, and glass systems is expected.
• A working understanding of construction techniques and on-site execution is needed.
• Additional training in AutoCAD, QA/QC, or façade engineering will be considered an advantage.
• The role requires 3 to 7 years of experience in steel façade work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys to establish levels, distances, and boundary points.
• Complete and check topographic as well as layout surveys.
• Place coordinates, benchmarks, and control points accurately on site.
• Operate surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and Theodolite.
• Inspect and mark alignments for buildings, roads, and pipelines.
• Maintain accuracy for excavations, foundations, and structural positioning.
• Compile survey reports, drawings, and as-built records.
• Work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and the QA/QC team.
• Confirm that work follows project drawings and technical specifications.
