Job description

A major construction project in Qatar is looking to add a Land Surveyor to the team.

A diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Applicants should understand core structural engineering principles.
It is important to be able to interpret shop drawings and construction drawings.
Knowledge of construction materials such as steel, aluminum, and glass systems is expected.
A working understanding of construction techniques and on-site execution is needed.
Additional training in AutoCAD, QA/QC, or façade engineering will be considered an advantage.
The role requires 3 to 7 years of experience in steel façade work.

Carry out site surveys to establish levels, distances, and boundary points.
Complete and check topographic as well as layout surveys.
Place coordinates, benchmarks, and control points accurately on site.
Operate surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and Theodolite.
Inspect and mark alignments for buildings, roads, and pipelines.
Maintain accuracy for excavations, foundations, and structural positioning.
Compile survey reports, drawings, and as-built records.
Work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and the QA/QC team.
Confirm that work follows project drawings and technical specifications.

Candidates must already be in Qatar and hold a valid QID.
