Overview
The City of Wagga Wagga is seeking dependable and hands-on Labourers to fill multiple permanent full-time positions within its Civil Operations division. This role is suited for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, are team players, and seek variety along with opportunities for training and career advancement.
Compensation and Benefits
- The initial remuneration is $2,267.62 gross per fortnight, progressing to $2,721.14 gross per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

Role Responsibilities
- Perform diverse labouring duties across civil operations including civil construction, road works, and maintenance.
- Manage traffic control tasks to ensure safety during operations.
- Maintain site housekeeping through environmental and safety controls and site security.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
- A minimum of a Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Possession of SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Cards (Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control) or willingness to obtain them.
- Must be punctual, enjoy outdoor working conditions, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Additional Information
- Wagga Wagga City Council applies Local Government (State) Award pay rates for employees aged 15-18, including junior and trainee roles.
- Applicants must be vaccinated and provide Hepatitis B evidence as per Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted consistent with position requirements.
