Position Objective
The Kitchen Supervisor role centers on managing team activities during shifts to ensure upholding standards related to personnel, product quality, cleanliness, and an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Lead by example to emphasize respect towards both team members and guests.
- Address any issues immediately during shifts to maintain smooth operations.
- Provide specific and ongoing guidance to team members.
- Create an engaging and motivating atmosphere to inspire team members to achieve targets.
- Conduct training, orientation, and oversight of new team members.
- Report team member performance, both positive and negative, to the Store Manager.
- Help ensure adequate team member coverage and step into roles during busy times to uphold service quality.
Hospitality Management
- Exemplify a guest-first mindset and reinforce positive hospitality among team members.
- Attend to guest inquiries with friendliness and appropriate urgency.
- Handle guest complaints promptly, effectively resolving issues and turning negative experiences into positive ones.
Operations Management
- Adhere to and enforce all operational standards of the establishment.
- Ensure proper merchandising and stocking of all products and packaging.
- Manage cash procedures during shifts.
- Maintain operational efficiency through effective scheduling.
- Supervise team members to make sure primary and secondary tasks are completed.
- Enforce all store policies during the shift, including cash handling, meal and break regulations, and food safety protocols.
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and discounts.
- Support the Store Manager in boosting sales and transactions during the shift.
- Complete necessary documentation such as waste records, managerial walkthroughs, and store checklists.
- Report any issues or concerns promptly to supervisors.
Health & Safety
- Follow and understand safe work practices and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
- Report any injuries, accidents, unsafe conditions, or related incidents to the Store or Area Manager.
- Avoid operating equipment or performing tasks that could endanger oneself or others.
- Ensure health and safety policies are followed, including documentation and reporting of work-related incidents.
Cashiering
- Oversee technical equipment functionality within the store.
- Verify cash amounts at the start of shifts and maintain sufficient change.
- Handle payments via cash, credit card, vouchers, or automated debits when necessary.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change accurately.
- Keep checkout areas clean and organized.
