Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and practical Maintenance & General Handyman to join our close-knit maintenance team. This vital role involves hands-on work to ensure the resort remains guest-ready, safe, and impeccably maintained. The position offers stability and growth opportunities within RACV Resorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform daily and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Participate in upgrades and landscaping schedules to enhance the resort's appearance and functionality.
- Assist with maintenance of building systems including HVAC, aquatics, essential services, and building management systems.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a recognized trade qualification in areas such as Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or Gas.
- Experience in maintenance roles within hotels, resorts, or multi-site facilities is highly regarded.
- Hold a current driver's licence; additional LR or MR truck licence and tractor operation skills are advantageous.
- Physical capability for hands-on work including heavy lifting (up to 20kg), and flexibility to work within a 7-day operation including weekends.
- Knowledge and skills in pool maintenance, landscaping, gardening, and irrigation are desirable.
- Strong communication, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in computer usage including MS Office, email communication, record keeping, and reporting.
- Positive and adaptable attitude, excellent personal presentation, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have full work rights in Australia.
