Front-end Developer (H/F)

About the Role

In 2010, the National Lottery launched its online sales platform, www.e-lotto.be, gradually expanding its offerings with eGames and sports betting. Since August 2014, a mobile-friendly version has been introduced to allow gameplay on smartphones and tablets. The mobile site is currently being upgraded to match the PC site offerings, aiming to create a unified responsive site for PC, tablet, and smartphone users. The team is dynamic and continuously evolving the platform, offering exciting future projects and challenges.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front-end Developer with strong communication skills to join this team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain game interfaces (e.g., draw game slips, eGames) and other services (player accounts) across interactive channels in collaboration with system provider teams.
• Ensure implementation meets schedule, security, and quality standards.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and handling change and bug management.
• Engage in development cycle management, source code control, development environment, prototyping, and associated tools.
• Coordinate project management and requirements gathering to deliver results aligned with client needs, prioritizing tasks effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in IT with a minimum of five years in a similar role.
• Preferably experienced with an interactive agency.
• Keen interest in the latest web technologies, especially in mobile development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of a JavaScript MVC framework, preferably AngularJS.
• Experience implementing RESTful applications.
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (LESS/SASS) and task runners (Node.js/Grunt.js).
• Good understanding of development lifecycle and agile teamwork.
• Basic knowledge of server-side technologies and concepts.
• Competence in tools like Adobe Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Flash, ActionScript 3, and Flex is a plus.
• Experience integrating social media platforms (e.g., Facebook API) is advantageous.
• Some aptitude for visual design and typography, without requiring expert-level skills.
• Comfortable working in multilingual contexts, with proficiency in technical English and a second national language.
