Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Specialist for a part-time role based in Dubai. This hybrid position involves working on-site at various sports facilities with some days offering work-from-home flexibility. The primary responsibility is to support the planning, coordination, and upkeep of sports venues to guarantee safety, functionality, and compliance with Ministry of Sports standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting routine inspections of sports facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Track and monitor maintenance activities ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and internal departments for smooth facility operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility management tasks.
- Oversee basic construction or refurbishment efforts, collaborating with technical teams and project managers.
- Support administrative functions including scheduling, reporting, and communication management.
- Contribute to training sessions focused on facility usage, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to foster an inclusive and safe environment for athletes, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Facility Management practices, including maintenance coordination and safety compliance.
- Strong administrative skills with experience using Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
- Basic knowledge of construction and refurbishment processes related to facility upgrades.
- Capability to assist in training or orientation programs concerning facility operations and safety guidelines.
- Prior experience in sports facilities, public sector, or managing large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and teamwork skills in a multicultural setting.
- Fluent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an added benefit.
- Educational background preferably a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Administration, or a related discipline.
