Job description

About TRIFECTA

TRIFECTA, operated by The Ride Side, is Asia's pioneering integrated destination for surf, snow, and skateboarding activities located in Singapore. This unique venue combines mountain and wave experiences within a tropical setting, featuring purpose-built facilities powered by advanced technology. Designed as a hub for self-expression and community, TRIFECTA unites boardsport enthusiasts and lifestyle seekers to foster a youthful culture of collaboration and progression across action sports. The venue operates three core businesses under one roof: Surf, Snow, and Lifestyle.

Role Overview

The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, smooth, and dependable functioning of TRIFECTA’s surf, snow, and skate facilities, including common areas and support zones. While primarily based on-site in Singapore, the position includes some flexibility for off-site work related to planning and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive asset register and preventive maintenance schedule for all three arenas and building infrastructure.
  • Coordinate maintenance timings with business unit leaders to minimize impact on peak revenue periods.
  • Manage spare parts planning, respond swiftly to equipment downtime, and report monthly on arena operational availability.
  • Oversee relationships with original equipment manufacturers (e.g., Citywave) and specialized maintenance vendors, ensuring service agreements meet standards in response times, costs, and quality.
  • Manage vendor selection processes following standard operating procedures, avoiding automatic contract renewals where costs exceed set limits.
  • Supervise building mechanical and electrical systems, water treatment including pool chemistry and filtration, HVAC, and utility expenditure; aim to optimize costs.
  • Handle renovation issues and ensure all rectification work is completed to satisfaction.
  • Act as safety officer: manage safety procedures, record and investigate incidents, maintain first-aid readiness, and coordinate evacuation drills.
  • Maintain full compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, including holding all necessary licenses and permits that remain audit-ready and transferrable.
  • Exercise stop-work authority jointly with shift management to prioritize safety over operational or revenue concerns.
  • Prepare and control maintenance budgets and minor capital expenditure plans, remaining within delegated authorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, facilities management, building services, or a related discipline; equivalent trade qualifications with relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum five years’ experience operating and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, drives, water systems, and HVAC within attractions, aquatic centers, hospitality, or industrial sites.
  • Current WSH or bizSAFE certification, or willing to acquire promptly.
  • Proven expertise in preventive maintenance planning, repair coordination, and building systems management.
  • Vendor and contractor management experience, including service contract negotiations and onsite supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance including risk assessment and incident management.
  • Skilled in budget oversight, inventory control, and strategic resource management to optimize facilities expense.
  • Leadership skills to direct technical personnel and collaborate across departments effectively, with clear communication to management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at rapid response in a dynamic sports or leisure environment.
  • Proficient in facilities management software and standard office tools used for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Experience working flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, or public holidays to support operations and events.
  • Experience with complex mechanical or water feature systems is an advantage.
