Role Overview
As Odd Bunch expands across Canada, Australia, and the US, this Executive Assistant position plays a pivotal role in maintaining smooth daily operations for the CEO. This role involves managing the CEO's schedule, communications, travel logistics, and follow-up activities to keep key initiatives progressing. It suits a versatile individual who enjoys a variety of tasks ranging from coordinating multi-time zone meetings to preparing presentation decks and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The position offers close collaboration with the CEO, providing mentorship and insight into building a growing bootstrapped company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, inbox, and multi-destination travel arrangements across Canada, US, and Australia, ensuring priorities are reflected and preparing in advance for upcoming commitments.
- Drive follow-through by converting the CEO’s objectives into tracked actions, keeping projects on course and raising issues proactively.
- Conduct research, compile summaries, and develop presentations that facilitate quick decision-making for the CEO; draft and manage correspondence as needed.
- Serve as a trusted liaison internally and externally, exercising sound judgment in managing communications and nurturing important partnerships.
- Maintain confidentiality over sensitive financial, legal, and personal information, discerning what should be escalated versus handled discreetly.
- Implement efficient organizational systems and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline operations, continually improving setups.
Involvement in Company Initiatives
- Support new product expansions, including the Pantry line and wholesale verticals, assisting in launch and iteration phases.
- Engage with the evolving technological tools and data systems that underpin company operations.
- Contribute to groundwork efforts for global expansion, specifically reinforcing Australian presence and US market entry plans.
- Participate in forming and managing strategic partnerships that advance company objectives.
- Gain exposure to core business functions including financing, real estate, strategy, and recruitment intrinsic to scaling a sustainable enterprise.
Candidate Profile
- Has a few years of experience, especially in fast-moving environments, or alternatively demonstrates quick learning and initiative to improve processes.
