Dairy Frozen Associate

Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Dairy/Frozen Associate to gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail environment. This role involves delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the Dairy/Frozen department is clean, well-organized, and properly zoned. You will support stocking and sales activities to keep fresh products available and the department always ready for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Dairy/Frozen section’s cleanliness, organization, and zoning to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Perform regular stock rotation and check for expired products to uphold freshness and quality.
• Ensure merchandise pricing and signage are accurate, following established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Comply with cold chain requirements, food safety, and sanitation protocols, including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiration date checks, and cleaning standards.
• Maintain merchandising features to support promotional efforts and department standards.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and free of hazards by removing spills, debris, and unnecessary items, while complying with Company policies and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate availability flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Challenges to Expect

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight hours.
• Plan work hours effectively to remain energized and focused throughout shifts.
• Undergo physical activities including extended standing periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products consistently and with attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $16.90 per hour.
