Role Overview
The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for managing all conflict of interest procedures related to onboarding new clients and matters. This includes conducting thorough conflict searches, analyzing results, and assisting in resolving any identified conflicts. The position supports accurate intake processing and documentation in alignment with firm policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely conflict searches for new client and matter requests.
- Conduct detailed corporate research utilizing various information sources, including analysis of press releases and historical data.
- Review intake workflows, ensuring submission completeness for appropriate processing.
- Analyze Conflict Results Reports to determine actual potential conflicts per firm guidelines.
- Investigate conflicts further as needed to assess significance.
- Consult internal conflicts database and firm records to aid resolution processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify and clear potential conflicts.
- Maintain daily communication with management regarding conflict resolutions and concerns.
- Document thoroughly all steps taken to resolve potential conflicts.
- Maintain contact with attorneys and staff regarding conflict matters.
- Monitor ongoing workflow requests for status updates.
- Undertake special projects assigned by leadership within Conflicts Operations.
Candidate Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within professional services.
- Prior experience using Intapp software is mandatory.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy guidelines related to conflicts processing is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and adhere to established timelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact professionally and provide outstanding client service.
- Capability to analyze and make informed decisions concerning new client and matter intake.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is competitive and adjusted according to skills, experience, and location, with the following representative salary ranges for full-time roles:
- California: $63,000 - $128,000
- Colorado: $58,000 - $103,000
- Illinois: $57,000 - $110,000
- Maine: $43,000 - $98,000
- Massachusetts: $63,000 - $120,000
- Maryland: $61,000 - $92,000
- Minnesota: $63,000 - $104,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $68,000 - $123,000
- New York: $58,000 - $126,000
- Vermont: $62,000 - $119,000
- Virginia: $41,000 - $119,000
- Washington State: $61,000 - $115,000
- Washington, D.C.: $81,000 - $119,000
Discretionary bonuses may be available but are not guaranteed and depend on individual and firm performance.
