Cleaning Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead and manage our cleaning team operating in split shifts (morning and evening). This role involves overseeing daily cleaning activities across the site, ensuring high standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the cleaning team and allocate tasks effectively.
• Monitor cleanliness standards throughout the school's six buildings plus boarding house.
• Ensure all cleaning processes comply with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Manage administrative duties such as stock ordering and inventory management.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in cleaning operations, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to guide the team efficiently.
• Reliability and pride in maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative.
• Good communication skills for liaison with staff and management.

Location

This position is based at Ipswich High School, located on a picturesque 87-acre campus by the River Orwell in Suffolk, England.
