About the Role
Join Metricon's National Product Development Team to help design homes that Australians aspire to live in. Primary Responsibilities
- Based in Metricon's stylish Robina office, support the development, management, and evolution of product home designs.
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers and cross-functional teams to assist in both new and existing design concepts.
- Assist in preparing and documenting home designs, including floorplans, facades, site plans, internal layouts, and various design options, ensuring accuracy and alignment with briefs and schedules.
- Support product management tasks across current and new home designs.
- Work collaboratively to meet project deadlines and deliver outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of Metricon's product offerings and design principles, while staying informed on relevant building codes, standards, and approval processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong passion for residential design and enhancing living environments.
- Relevant qualification in Building Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- At least three years' experience in a design or drafting role.
- Experience in volume residential building is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Revit or similar CAD software.
- Sound understanding of building codes and planning regulations.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
