Overview
The Team Manager supports the Director by leading and developing the sales, operations, and security teams to meet and surpass sales goals, while enhancing the overall Tiffany store experience. When the Director is absent, the Team Manager assumes full responsibility for the store. This role requires a dynamic, attentive, and inspiring leader who mentors the team and acts as the Guest Experience Manager, ensuring exemplary client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate the sales team to consistently meet or exceed store sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Foster strong client relationships and drive client development initiatives to attract and retain customers.
- Exemplify sales leadership by actively engaging on the sales floor and personally managing client interactions.
- Champion sales efforts focusing on key product pillars and performance metrics.
- Lead by example to deliver a client-focused approach, modeling and coaching the team based on client feedback to enhance the Tiffany Experience Index (TEI).
- Maintain a visible management presence on the floor, ensuring high standards of Tiffany client service at all times.
- Optimize hospitality and store amenities to create distinctive and memorable client experiences.
- Respond effectively to client feedback and TEI performance metrics to improve customer service quality.
- Recruit, hire, and retain top-tier talent to foster a high-performance team environment.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and qualitative feedback while utilizing reward, recognition, and performance management processes to boost engagement and results.
- Develop a diverse and multilingual talent pipeline through active networking and recruitment.
- Set and communicate clear, challenging goals aligned with the company's strategic priorities and key results.
- Leverage available training and development programs to facilitate team growth and performance enhancement.
- Promote operational excellence by ensuring efficient sales support, managing back-of-house operations, maintaining adherence to operational procedures, and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with internal control standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of retail or luxury retail store management or relevant customer service experience.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales and achieving sales targets.
- Availability and flexibility to work diverse schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proven skill in developing new business opportunities and managing client relationships to enhance brand recognition and market reach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint), client tracking systems, and Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Adaptability to perform various roles such as sales floor or operations support as business needs dictate.
- Preferred candidates hold a college or university degree.
- Possession of a Graduate Gemologist degree or previous coursework from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is advantageous.
Compensation and Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $126,000 annually, dependent on the candidate's relevant skills and experience. Eligible employees in retail management may also receive bonuses and sales incentives.
