Role overview
This position calls for a hands-on retail leader who partners with the Director to guide sales, operations, and security teams. The goal is to surpass sales objectives while delivering an elevated in-store experience. In the Director’s absence, this person takes charge of the store and provides steady leadership. The role also functions as a Guest Experience Manager, with a strong focus on exceptional client service and team mentorship.
Sales leadership
- Strengthen client relationships to help the store meet and exceed sales goals, product-category targets, and key performance indicators.
- Keep the team motivated and focused on consistently delivering above-target sales results.
- Encourage client-development efforts across the team to grow both new and returning customer relationships.
- Remain active on the sales floor, leading by example and personally managing client interactions.
- Use the core product areas and KPI priorities to drive business performance.
Client experience
- Operate with a consistently client-first mindset in every interaction.
- Coach the team using client feedback and help raise the Tiffany Experience Index.
- Maintain a strong floor presence to support the team and ensure service standards are met at all times.
- Improve hospitality and store amenities to create memorable experiences for clients.
- Respond to client feedback and TEI results with actions that strengthen service quality.
Talent development
- Help attract, hire, and retain strong talent to build a high-performing team culture.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, feedback, recognition, and performance management to improve engagement and results.
- Recruit through networking and relationship-building to create a diverse, multilingual, highly skilled talent pipeline.
- Set ambitious, clearly communicated goals aligned with strategic priorities and key results.
- Use training and development resources to support individual growth and performance improvement.
Operational excellence
- Support efficient store operations that help drive both sales and service.
- Oversee back-of-house execution and maintain consistency with established procedures.
- Look for practical improvements and best practices that make operations more effective.
- Ensure internal control procedures are followed without exception.
Required qualifications
Applicants should bring at least 3 years of experience in retail or luxury retail store management, or in a relevant customer-facing role. A strong record of generating sales and delivering results is essential. The role also requires flexibility to work outside standard hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be able to develop new business opportunities, maintain client relationships, and support brand awareness and market reach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint, along with client-tracking tools and point-of-sale systems, is required. The job may also involve moving between responsibilities such as sales floor and operations work depending on business needs.
Preferred qualifications
A college or university degree is preferred. Additional preference is given to candidates with a graduate gemologist qualification or prior coursework from the Gemological Institute of America.
Compensation and benefits
The expected pay range for this role is $90,000 to $126,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s relevant experience and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus pay and sales incentives.
