Role Overview
The Student Experience Centre is currently seeking to fill two full-time Student Experience Coordinator positions within its vibrant and supportive team. These roles are critical in offering assistance to both prospective and current students as they assess potential study pathways and progress through their university experience. The coordinator will deliver informative, high-quality guidance and support to students, addressing a broad spectrum of inquiries and facilitating access to essential services and resources to maximize student success.
Interactions primarily occur over phone and email channels, with responsibilities including providing timely, accurate, and courteous support. Additionally, coordinators will liaise with specialized university departments and collaborate closely with peers to optimize students' overall experience.
The positions are located onsite at 49 Symonds Street, Auckland CBD, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary range for the role is between $56,400 and $62,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will be effective communicators passionate about assisting individuals and providing superior service experiences. You should possess strong active listening abilities, empathy, and the aptitude for conveying complex information clearly and simply. Comfort in managing multiple digital systems, thriving in fast-paced environments, and collaborating cross-functionally are key attributes.
In alignment with Kia Whakamana i te Tangata principles, you will respect and uphold the dignity and mana of individuals, whānau, and communities during all interactions.
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years delivering exceptional customer service including handling intricate inquiries.
- 1 to 2 years' experience within outbound call center operations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting diverse clientele and communities.
- Capability to quickly develop subject matter expertise and confidently disseminate accurate information.
- Proven ability to foster relationships and collaborate across teams effectively.
- Proficiency in navigating several digital platforms and systems.
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
