Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established engineering and design standards, regulatory mandates, and client requirements.
• Promote the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and documentation templates.
• Enhance the technical understanding of applicable legal requirements and customer specifications wherever practical and lawful.
• Utilize local and global engineering standards to uphold technical quality.
• Participate in document checking, peer reviews, and integrate feedback rigorously.
• Deliver offshore structural discipline-specific design and drafting services aligned with Worley, client, and relevant statutory standards.
• Apply recognized offshore structural engineering principles in design tasks.
• Review and verify drawings and models to maintain quality of deliverables.
• Develop detailed designs from structural engineering sketches and technical specifications.
• Identify technical challenges, propose alternative solutions with evaluation of pros and cons, and provide recommendations for official project documentation such as technical queries and deviations.
• Complete final design documentation inclusive of all pertinent information and secure internal approvals.

Quality Assurance

• Operate within Quality Assurance system guidelines and standards.

Safety

• Maintain personal safety and comply with Occupational Health & Safety protocols.
• Competently incorporate Health, Safety and Environmental considerations into the design process, emphasizing process safety and striving to implement best practices.

Education and Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology with specialization in Civil or Structural engineering discipline.

Experience

• Extensive experience with brownfield offshore structural design and engineering within Oil and Gas sectors.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and Oil & Gas project requirements.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software such as E3D, S3D, or PDMS, including constructability knowledge.
• Experienced in producing 2D drafts and detailed design drawings extracted from 3D models.
• Ability to initiate squad checks to ensure design accuracy and completeness.
• Capability to generate material take-offs (MTOs) accurately.
• Strong computer literacy including AutoCAD, E3D, S3D or PDMS, and standard office software like Excel and Word.

Additional Skills

• Competence in graphical presentation techniques.
