Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager specialized in overseeing and enhancing enterprise SAP platforms, including SAP Commerce and related business applications. The role demands a blend of project management expertise and technical proficiency to steer architectural decisions and guarantee quality delivery within complex organizational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete delivery lifecycle and operational support for enterprise SAP applications, encompassing maintenance and enhancement services.
- Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, resources, and governance throughout the lifecycle.
- Offer technical leadership to cross-functional teams including development, SAP consultancy, infrastructure, cloud, and support by evaluating solution designs and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to craft scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise solutions.
- Supervise SAP Commerce, CRM, integration platforms, middleware, and enterprise applications to maintain service continuity and stability.
- Implement Agile methodologies such as Scrum for delivery management, including SDLC governance, release planning, sprint execution, quality assurance, and production deployment.
- Lead IT Service Management processes following ITIL practices, covering Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity, Availability, and Service Request Management.
- Coordinate upgrades, infrastructure modifications, cloud services enhancements, security improvements, and platform lifecycle activities.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements, operational KPIs, security policies, and organizational governance.
- Manage multidisciplinary technical teams and vendors including software engineers, SAP consultants, DevOps, QA, cybersecurity, and business analysts.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, architectural limitations, and operational challenges.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving application performance, operational efficiency, automation, and service quality.
- Develop executive-level progress reports, governance documentation, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading enterprise technology projects and managing application support operations.
- Demonstrable success with large-scale SAP support, operations, or digital transformation projects.
- Strong grasp of enterprise software engineering, application architecture, and distributed systems.
- Practical experience with SAP ecosystems, specifically SAP Commerce and business applications support.
- Experienced in managing cross-functional technical teams across development, infrastructure, cloud, QA, and support.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Enterprise Project and Program Management, including Agile, Scrum, and Hybrid methodologies
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Release & Deployment Management
- Resource and Capacity Planning; Risk and Dependency Management; Vendor and Contract Administration
- SAP Platform Operations including Commerce, CRM, and Integration Technologies
- Enterprise Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, System Design, API and Middleware Integration
- Cloud Platform familiarity (notably Microsoft Azure), Infrastructure Administration, Configuration, Upgrades, Performance Tuning, High Availability, Disaster Recovery
- Security Best Practices and ITIL/IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
- Service Delivery Management, SLA and KPI Compliance, Operational and Continuous Service Improvement
- Tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Power BI
