Role Summary

We seek an experienced Senior Data Engineer proficient in Google Cloud Platform to architect, develop, and enhance scalable data pipelines and cloud analytics solutions. This role demands expertise with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Python, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes within modern data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines using GCP services.
• Design and execute ETL and ELT workflows tailored for both batch and streaming data.
• Leverage GCP tools including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Firestore for data operations.
• Enhance data storage architectures, optimize data models, and improve query performance.
• Implement frameworks for data quality assurance, monitoring, and governance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in production data pipelines to ensure consistent reliability.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational needs.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL for data processing tasks.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong background in data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
• Ability to maintain robust, scalable cloud data infrastructure.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certification as a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Exposure to machine learning concepts and applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess 4 to 6 years of professional experience in data engineering roles, particularly with hands-on expertise in the Google Cloud Platform. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
