Data Scientist

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking experienced Data Scientists to join their team, working from various metro cities across India. This position is ideal for candidates with 6 to 15 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics, who are skilled in developing and deploying machine learning and statistical models within enterprise settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to define analytical problems and determine relevant data requirements from diverse sources.
• Apply exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to identify meaningful patterns and prepare datasets for modeling.
• Build, validate, and optimize machine learning models tailored to business needs such as segmentation, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection.
• Convert complex modeling outcomes into understandable insights and visual presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with data engineering and IT departments to implement models in production environments and ensure their continued effectiveness through monitoring and updates.
• Continuously explore new data science innovations and methodologies to advance the organization's analytical capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong grounding in machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
• Proficient programming skills in Python or R, utilizing libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Expertise in data cleansing, manipulation, exploratory analysis, and feature construction to enable effective modeling.
• Competence in data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau to convey data-driven stories.
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML Studio, Google AI Platform) is a desirable advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication abilities, with a track record of working in agile, collaborative team environments.
• Meticulous attention to data quality and documentation.
