Role overview
This position focuses on growing the intercity bus business in the assigned territory through market expansion, partner management, and revenue-focused planning. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to improve market share, strengthen operator relationships, and keep regional operations running smoothly.
Strategic planning
- Spot fresh market opportunities and translate emerging trends, risks, and gaps into practical business recommendations.
- Take ownership of the supply strategy for the assigned region so that business targets and overall plans are achieved.
- Drive transactions from bus operators who have already been onboarded.
- Lead initiatives aimed at increasing revenue and expanding wallet share.
- Monitor group and transient inventory while staying current on industry movements and periodic market research.
- Serve as the first point of leadership for building strong, positive partnerships with bus operators that support organizational goals.
- Find innovative ways to grow business with customers and present solutions to management when challenges arise.
Operational efficiencies
- Manage a team across the designated geography.
- Improve bus operator engagement beyond basic hygiene metrics by driving adoption of deals, RPW, and related revenue-growth initiatives.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, onboard new bus operators, and maintain relationships with existing partners.
- Stay updated on the intercity bus travel market and actively pursue opportunities to grow wallet share.
- Encourage bus operators to participate more on the marketplace by promoting seller-side products and platforms.
- Handle bus operator issues in a fair, ethical, and amicable manner.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and work continuously to improve regional NPS.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and follow up to close open actions.
- Build stronger relationships with current and prospective business partners, along with other key stakeholders.
