Role Overview
This role offers a dynamic environment to work across full-cycle digital transformation projects combining actuarial expertise with innovative technology solutions. You will engage with a diverse clientele and may have opportunities to travel to Europe to collaborate across different industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and improve actuarial models that enhance risk evaluation, financial forecasting, and product development.
- Partner with IT teams to transform actuarial concepts into scalable digital tools, platforms, and automation solutions.
- Apply advanced statistics and machine learning to analyze large datasets facilitating client decision-making.
- Support integration of actuarial models into enterprise software systems.
- Collaborate directly with clients to interpret their actuarial needs and deliver customized IT-enabled services.
- Work cross-functionally with consultants, software developers, and project managers to embed actuarial insights within digital transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
- Progress toward professional actuarial certifications (SOA, IFoA, CAS) or credentials in Data Science, Cloud Computing, or Financial Risk Management highly preferred.
- Robust business understanding in sectors such as insurance, pensions, reinsurance, or enterprise risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in actuarial and analytical tools including Prophet, Pathwise, Excel, R, Python, and SAS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for both internal teams and clients.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data visualization/reporting software like QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Capability to convert complex quantitative data into clear, actionable insights.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin to fulfill business communication requirements.
